The Angel Tree

This year for Christmas, we're buying gifts for Seanna, our 12-month-old selection off the Salvation Army's Angel Tree. I'm excited to go out and buy things for her-- this is something I used to do back in college, and it was always fun to buy for kids-- something I'm not used to.

But perhaps I have the wrong attitude about this all... the reason I picked a 12-month old is actually to avoid the "wish lists" of many of the older kids.

Little tags on the Angel Tree... the Needy Kids Tree... included:

"I-pod"
"i-tunes giftcard"
"games for Wii"

I'm sorry... but really?

    I guess "Games for Wii" implies that the kids already have a Wii. What's the definition of "needy," again?
