We had a sneaking suspicion, and it was confirmed today...
First-- the smell. It's lovely-- like candied fruit with just an undertone of the tartness to come...
The color is this beautiful rose...deeper and more fuschia than white zin, but much more translucent and pinker than red wine.
The tart of the cranberry mixes so well with the sweetness...and it's got some major unexpected body and complexity on the finish... including tartness and some slight heat (go us...!!!)
I'm... #1... shocked that we could actually make something that tasted GOOD by ourselves (no kits) and #2... kind of wishing we made more than 4 bottles (two of which we attempted to make sparkle...)
