Phew! A little 10 dollar card reader was all that stood between me and photo uploading. Good thing it wasn't worse.
What a GREAT weekend-- gorgeous weather, catnaps on the porch, cleaning the house, Murphy's oiling all the wood floors- it smells great and clean and fresh and completely dustless. How did we ever live with carpet before... Seriously?

I think it was one of, if not *the* most successful remodeling projects I've ever tackled. It was challenging- but not too hard, relatively inexpensive (but doesn't look cheap), and overall, I think,completely takes the kitchen to a new level.
Can you tell I love the way it turned out?

I especially love the way it looks at night. Really, this picture doesn't capture it... but the little light that glows down really makes the tiles look beautiful.
Today I took some cleaner and sealer to it-- especially made for sensitive stones like Travertine.
