Or more like 40, but you get the idea. Back to why I started this blog: to chronicle the escapades of our winemaking endeavors.
Well. It does take quite a bit of waiting, that's for sure. After four months in secondary fermentation, we finally put our cider in bottles, and you know what... it's no Strongbow. That's for sure. But it's not bad. That's all I'll say about the cider. Let's hope that time does the magical things it's supposed to do until we open it.
The cranberry wine, our little side adventure, is actually quite good, astonishingly enough. It's tart, it's sweet, it's interesting. And it'll be great with bubbles over a thanksgiving turkey.
So what's next? What other tropical fruit can we whip up into cheap alcoholic goodness, you ask?
Blueberries. Yummy yum yum. I can't wait!
