Brighter days.

It's 65 today,or at least my car said so, and let me tell you how that number can make things brighter.

I've been battling some serious winter gloom lately. The 30s, the 20s--the rain, the drudge, the gray... it's so DEPRESSING. I hate February and the beginning of March. I'm done with snow and romanticizing winter. I'm done with hot chocolate and movies and sitting on the couch and cozy blankets. I'm ready to get outside, get moving, and get some sunshine happening again.

The dogs are stir-crazy, too. We muddled up a walk yesterday after work (it was 40!) just before the sun went down, and let me tell you, it was like they'd never actually been outside before. There were SMELLS! and SQUIRRELS! and KIDS! and it was just like Dog Christmas. Both were pulling on their leashes so hard, as if to run *as far away* from our house-- and being cooped up again-- as possible.

This weekend, back to 40s. And rain.

But I'll take 65 while I can...
