First and foremost, I *adore* garlic potato salad from this tapas place in Wheaton. It is my absolute favorite, and I am completely convinced they must use at least 12 heads of garlic. Yes, I reek for at least three entire days, but it is 100% worth it.
Secondly, I am so completely done with the attitudes at work. Sometimes I think I am a babysitter.... or, or..... a 7th grade teacher breaking up catfights among pubescent girls. The sarcastic tones of voice, the whispered conversations. Sometimes I just want to scream WOULD YOU JUST GET BACK TO WORK... I mean, really... really? There are thousands of people who would kill for a job right now. The amount of time spent re-hashing events.. over, and over and over... "so I told him, I TOLD HIM, that we didn't have anything for him, but he could BARELY UNDERSTAND because I think he didn't speak English, but he kept staying it over and over again, and I mean, I couldn't understand him because he BARELY SPOKE ENGLISH, but he kept saying it over again."
omg, is there an echo in this room...?
So anyway. There's that.
And also I've been pretty tired lately. Sometimes I wonder if I have a sleeping disease or something. Or perhaps... it's mental exhaustion from aforementioned work topics. The other night, literally--- I fell asleep at 8:45 on the couch downstairs. EIGHT FORTY FIVE. It was a new low for me.
On the perkier front, Poppy has pepped up a bit since we've given her the lyme-disease pills. She played ball for a good 30 minutes the other day at the park, so I think she's coming around.... my poor little lyma-bean.
Other than that.... It's dreary and I swear to god I just saw a salt truck/plow just drive by outside...
It is Spring yet???
